GUNDOG OBEDIENCE BONANZA

This year the Golden Retriever Club of Victoria partnered with the Gordon Setter Club of Victoria and held back to back restricted to Group 3 obedience trials on Saturday 10 October 2009. The Golden Retriever Club held the morning trial and the Gordon Setter Club held the afternoon trial.

It was a perfect day for trialling, not too hot, not wet at all and some sunshine to boot!  The joint event was very successful with both clubs working together to run both trials.  And two trial secretaries to share the workload!  Helpers from both clubs made the day a success.  Thank you to the many helpers and to Linda Beer from the Gordon setter club who printed the beautiful qualifying cards for all the successful competitors.

Congratulations to all the successful qualifiers and to Greg Barker and his Golden Retriever T Ch Goorambat Calamity Jane CD who was awarded the Clive Gibson Trophy for Highest Score in Trial and the Aspley Golden Lady AOC trophy for the highest scoring Golden Retriever in Trial. 

Thank you to Purina and Robbos who provided product on the day for the placegetters.
