GOLDEN RETRIEVER CLUB OF VICTORIA (INC) CLUB AWARD RULES

Points for these awards may only be gained at events sanctioned by the Victoria Canine Association Inc. 

In each conformation award section a trophy will be given to the highest scoring dog and the highest scoring bitch.

In the Conformation Awards, if a dog does not stay for Group or show  specials when it is required to do so, then all points will be forfeited for the show. No dog or bitch will be eligible for any awards until after the age of six mouths. Members are not eligible for Club Awards at fixtures held prior to the date of their acceptance into the club.

GRETTA TOMBS ENCOURAGEMENT AWARD - DOG & BITCH

Points are awarded at all Club Conformation fixtures, i.e., Members Competitions, The Open Show and the Championship Show.
Points are awarded as follows; for three or more in a class, first in class - 3 points; second in class - 2 points; Third in class - 1 point. If less than three in a class, points will decease accordingly. For example: for two in a class, first in class 2 points. Best Dog/Bitch receives 5 points. Reserve Dog/Bitch receives 4 points.
When multiple entries occur, only the points gained in the first and lowest class entered will count.
Champions are not eligible for this award. Once this award has been won by a member, then that member is no longer eligible to compete for this award. (The first ineligible member will be the winner of the award in October 1991.)

JUNIOR HANDLERS AWARD

There are two Awards, for 7 years to under 12 years, and for 12 years to under 17 years. If the handler starts the Award year in one of the classes and turns 12 to 17 years old, during the Award year then he/she may continue in the class he/she began that year.
Points are awarded as follows: For three or more in a class, first in class - 3 points; second in class - 2 points; Third in class - 1 point. If less than three in a class, points will decease accordingly. For example: for two in a class, first in class 2 points; Second in class - 1 point. There will be no award if the winner competes in less than half of the events.
Junior handler classes are held at all GRCV Members Competitions.
